Cookie Policy
Cookies and similar technologies help the site remember your choices, understand how pages are used, and—only with your permission—support measurement and relevant communications. This page explains what we use, why, and how you stay in control.
What we mean by cookies and similar technologies
In this policy, “cookies” includes HTTP cookies, HTML5 local storage, session storage, and similar client-side stores. “Pixels” or “tags” can be small pieces of code that connect a page view to a server, sometimes in combination with a cookie key. Together, these tools let the site keep state between requests, measure performance, and—where you agree—support analytics and marketing networks.
We describe our use in categories so you can align your choices with what you are comfortable sharing. This document is designed to work alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the wider relationship between you and Ghexoranuz when you use ghexoranuz.world.
First-party and third-party technologies
First-party tools are set or read in a first-party context (our host name in the address bar). They are often used for session integrity, security, or to record the choices you make in the consent interface after you interact with it.
Third-party tools are set or read by another domain. They may appear when we embed content, use a font or script from a content delivery network, or when you have allowed analytics or marketing partners to run. Those partners are selected for their commitments to security and contract terms, but they process data under their own privacy policies as well as the instructions we give them where we act as a controller.
The categories we reference in the consent layer
Strictly necessary
These are required to deliver the page and security you would expect: for example, remembering that you made a choice in the banner, protecting against cross-site request forgery on forms where such a token is used, or routing you to a stable server during high load. They do not exist to profile you for advertising. Under the ePrivacy Directive and similar rules, where an exemption applies, they can run without consent, but we still document them here for clarity.
Analytics
Optional analytics help us see which articles are opened, how far readers scroll on average, whether a link is broken, and whether a page is slow on certain devices. We prefer aggregated reporting. If you reject this category, we will not read or set the related storage for that purpose on a going-forward basis, subject to technical limitations described under “Browser controls.”
Marketing
Optional marketing tools may include remarketing tags, conversion pixels, or audience building, but only when you have opted in and when the campaign is live. We do not use high-pressure tactics in the consent screen; “off” remains a valid default until you change it. If we use Google or similar networks, their tags process data under their policies (for example, Google Privacy & Terms) in addition to the choices you set in our banner. See also the advertising partners section of our Privacy Policy.
Illustrative examples (not an exhaustive live table)
Specific names and expiry dates can change when we update software. The following examples describe the function you should expect rather than a guaranteed label you will see in your browser dev tools.
- Preference storage. A key that records that you clicked “Reject” or saved custom categories, so we do not keep showing the same prompt on every visit.
- Session identifier. A short-lived value that groups requests in a single sitting, where the application needs it for correct delivery.
- Analytics identifier. A pseudonymous random ID used with your consent to count repeat visits without asking you to log in.
- Marketing partner ID. Where consented, an ID that allows an ad network to attribute a visit to a campaign and cap how many times you see the same creative.
How consent, rejection, and granular settings work
When you first land on the site, you will see a banner with “Accept All,” “Reject,” and “Cookie Settings.” Rejecting leaves on what is necessary for core operation and stores that choice. Accepting enables the optional categories unless you later change your mind. Cookie Settings opens a panel where analytics and marketing can be toggled independently, while strictly necessary remains on.
Your preference is stored locally in the browser when possible, so we can respect it on return visits. If you clear site data or use a different device, you may see the banner again. You can also revisit your settings by returning to this page and using the same controls when we surface them in the footer or settings area in a future layout update.
Browser and device controls beyond our banner
Every major browser lets you block third-party cookies, delete all cookies on exit, or block storage entirely. Global Privacy Control and similar signals are gaining recognition in some jurisdictions; we follow applicable law as it matures. Please note that aggressive blocking may break optional features or make the site harder to use, and that some “necessary” pieces may still be required for form submission or security.
How long things last on your device
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies have a defined maximum age set by us or by a partner. Local storage does not always expire automatically; clearing site data removes it. Our internal records of your consent choice are kept only as long as needed to prove compliance and align with the Privacy Policy retention section.
Do Not Track and similar signals
There is no single global standard that all browsers implement the same way. We treat qualified opt-out signals seriously where the law in your region requires us to treat them as a valid request, and we document our approach in parallel with this policy as regulations evolve.
When we change this Cookie Policy
We will update this file when we add a new category, change partners, or need to reflect a legal requirement. The dynamic date in the hero section shows today’s calendar date when you load the page; substantive revisions are still reviewed by us before publication. For material changes that affect your rights, we may add a short notice on the site for a reasonable period.
